Essentially travel wraps are for keeping you warm while on the move, there are many other similar products that are great for this and other purposes Boleros, pashminas and shrugs, they are all similar and are used in a variety of ways with a variety of out fits. Travel wraps do exactly as they are described, whether it be for an adult or child. They are great to keeping you warm in the car, bus or plane; they can be easily taken with you.
If you are looking to keep warm in a more glamorous way maybe with a ball gown or evening dress, you could choose a Pashmina which is like a rectangular piece of fabric that you can wrap round in a variety of ways, you can even use them as a large scarf. You could choose a shrug which is like a short shaped cloak; it just keeps your shoulders warm. The other option is a Bolero which is similar to a shrug but has arms; it is easier to keep on if you are doing things with your arms.
For a glamorous evening out you could use a coat or jacket, but they don't have the same expensive feel as a wrap. Particularly in the United Kingdom it is never very warm even in the height of summer so you will always be able to use it to and from the event.
Travel wraps are great for young children, because they spend lots of time sitting in buggies and pushchairs while they are out and they often need a sleep while on the move. Because they are sitting still they can get colder and need extra warmth to keep them happy. If they are shaped wraps they are great because they fit in the chair and keep kids warm all the way round.
Travel rugs are also great for the elderly, they often feel the cold more and they also cannot move around as much to keep warm. Have a nice wrap around their shoulders or over their knees can really help when travelling by car, coach, train or plane. These forms of transport often have very extreme temperatures which cannot be controlled easily by individuals.
Travel wrap are great to have the car, you can use them on a long journey, extra blankets for camping, picnic blankets, keep you warm if the car breaks down in bad weather. Some of the motoring organisations recommend you keep a blanket in the car for these sort of emergency reasons. If you have it in the car all the time, you don't need to remember it when you are doing a longer journey.
If you want to buy someone a great gift that is versatile and useful a travel wrap is a great idea, something that they will be able to use all the time for lots of different purposes.
