Ka Sunglasses are the Must Have Fashion Accessory All Year Round

Our eyes are very sensitive and we need protection from the harmful UV rays of the sun, now more than perhaps at any time in the past. We have caused the hole in the ozone layer to grow with our ignorance of the damage we were inflicting on our environment and now we are told by experts, we should invest in a good pair of sunglasses to prevent damage to our retinas. Although it is nearing winter in the Northern Hemisphere, there are days when the sun shines through those miserable dark clouds and we should wear eye protection on such days. In the Southern Hemisphere summer is almost here and so sunglasses are very much part of ones wardrobe.

Apart from the UV rays, sunglasses protect our eyes from atmospheric pollution, dust particles and exhaust fumes. At one time sunglasses were used only in summer and then only on the beach, but now they are must-have fashion accessories. The stars wear sunglasses as disguise and of course they choose designer sunglasses as fashion accessories, those by Yves Saint Laurent, Burberry, Gucci and Prada to name but a few of the top names in the fashion world who now have a range of sunglasses for men, women and children. Everyone needs a good pair of dark glasses these days and there is a bewildering array to choose from.

You don't have to spend a fortune on designer glasses, but you do need to ensure that the sunglasses you choose offer protection from sun damage. Fashion sunglasses are very much here to stay and when you choose a pair - or several to go with different outfits, you should consider the shape of your face. If you have a small thin face, large glasses may make you look rather owl-like, so choose a small pair, or rectangular ones which will extend your face rather than making it look smaller. Don't just buy those black, black glasses that celebrities are wearing, if black makes you look like a walking corpse. You can buy lighter fashion sunglasses with the fifties look perhaps which will suit your complexion.

Fashion sunglasses can be fun and look like Mardi Gras masks, so if you are feeling frivolous, you may want to consider investing in a pair of these which will certainly get you noticed. It depends on your mood and the impression you are trying to create as to what glasses you wear, so if you have several pairs, you can have ones with frames that really do look different as well as the more sober kind which enable you to walk around in cognito, but with style.

You can purchase fashion sunglasses online and pay in a variety of ways including by PayPal and have you purchase delivered by Fed Ex, so why not go online right now and do your eyes a favor? Whatever your personality and face size there are hundreds of pairs of sunglasses to choose from, and you won't be disappointed with the price tag.

Ga-Ga For Sunglasses

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, aka Lady Gaga, is a pop singer-songwriter known for her unique and ever changing sense of style. This unique style can be seen in everything from her music, her performances and especially in her fashion sense, particularly when it comes to accessories, such as sunglasses.

Opting primarily for vintage styles, because as you may already know, famous pop stars can't be seen wearing a regular old pair of sunglasses that us normal shmucks can easily purchase, Lady Gaga has been 'seen wearing' hundreds of different pairs of sunglasses over the span of her career. Since her popularity doesn't show any signs of diminishing anytime soon, I'm sure we will be exposed to hundreds, if not thousands, of more images of Lady Gaga sporting her ever-growing collection of infamous sunglasses.

So let's take a look at the top 10 most outrageous, unique and stylish pairs of sunglasses that Lady Gaga has recently been 'seen wearing':

1. Sunettes

sunettes.jpg
Even with just a simple pair of round lens sunglasses, Lady Gaga's over the top style of clothing and wigs make something as straightforward as pair of handcrafted mirrored sunglasses looks exceptional. This pair of Sunnettes goes for about $130.

2. Dejour View

dejour view.jpg
This 1961 vintage pair of sunglasses, with their steel circles, are truly one of a kind. It is reported that Lady Gaga picked these Dejour View's up at the Vintage Frames Shop for a measly $350.

3. Versace - T76

versace t76.jpg
These vintage Versace's could fit right in with today's sunglasses styles. Reportedly a pair form sometime in the 80's, the only place to buy one of these pairs is through vintage stores, making a definite price unknown. Now that Lady Gaga has popularized them, I'm sure the price tag has gone up significantly.

4. Gianfranco Ferre - GFF 16

gianfranco ferre.jpg
These Wayfarer style vintage sunglasses stand out for others of the same style with their accents of gold at the temples and the brownish tint. It is reported that Lady Gaga picked up this pair of 20-year-old sunglasses for only $600, which is most likely pocket change for her.

5. Alpina - Goldwing DBGM

alpina.jpg
The more obscure and original the pair of vintage sunglasses the better the chance you will see them on Lady Gaga, and these Alpina Goldwing's are a perfect example. The only place to find this pair of vintage shades is in a vintage boutique or if you are lucky, on eBay.

6. Linda Farrow - Mickey Mouse

linda farrow.jpg
Nicknamed the Mickey Mouse, this pair of custom made sunglasses is a collaboration of Linda Farrow and Jeremy Scott. If you want a pair of these Disneyesque sunglasses for your self, you'll be looking at shelling anywhere from $350 and upwards.

7. A-morir - Sioux Lace

a-morir.jpg
A-Morir's Sioux Lace style sunglasses are probably the most fashionable pair of sunglasses one can own. Essentially these sunglasses are a large shield that is wrapped in lace. They retail for about $210.

8. Carrera - Champion

Lady Gaga donned these pair of Champion's in her music video for the popular song, "Bad Romance". Carrera's Champions are a classic aviator style that works well for both men and women, but obviously looks best on super pop-stars. These sunglasses go for a reasonable $130.

9. Tom Ford - Alexandra FT 0118

Uncharacteristically getting away from vintage sunglasses, Lady Gaga can be 'seen wearing' a new pair of Tom Ford's. The Alexandra's large round shape and subtle details are setting the trend for what's hot in sunglasses fashion these days. You can get your own pair fir around $300.

10. Vintage Versace - 676

Randolph Engineering – Performance and Precision

Randolph Engineering has always had its roots in precision engineering and state-of-the-art technology. The company was formed in 1972 by Jan Waszkiewicz and Stanley Zaleski, who were both trained as engineers. They are still with the company today. The business began as a manufacturer of tools and machines to be used in the optical industry, but soon became involved in producing its own range of eyewear. The company was founded on the principles of precision engineering and high-quality products. The sunglasses they manufactured were made using the tools they had already developed themselves.

In 1982, Randolph Engineering won the lucrative contract from the US Department of Defense, to supply them with all their military-style aviation flight glasses. This provided a firm footing for the company to grow, and it now provides a wide range of sunglasses to many areas of theUSmilitary. In the early 1990s, Randolph Engineering began to sell its sunglasses to the general public. The company's high-quality and detailed approach proved to be a success, and it now manufactures and sells a range of sunglasses, prescription frames and shooting eyewear.

The ethos of Randolph Engineering is all about creating sunglasses that will last and perform year after year. So much so, they are confident that the soldering and hinges on any pair will last a lifetime under normal use. Randolph Engineering doesn't see its sunglasses as passing fashion statements, but serious pieces of technical equipment. Having said that, the company does produce a number of styles, including the classic aviator style. This ensures that each pair is fashionable as well as sublimely functional. Each pair of Randolph Engineering sunglasses goes through over 200 stages of development from start to finish, most of which are done by hand.

The brand does have a core dedicated following from celebrities, particularly those known for their love of sunglasses. Elijah Wood was spotted wearing a pair of Randolph Engineering Aviators while out and about. Also, Johnny Depp is a known wearer of Randolph Engineering sunglasses, and has been seen wearing a pair of Randolph Engineering Aviators in black. Mad Men character Don Draper, played by Jon Hamm, can be seen wearing a pair of gold Randolph Engineering Square Aviators during the show. This is interesting as Mad Men was set before Randolph Engineering existed, but it highlights the timeless appeal and styling of the sunglasses.

Randolph Engineering holds the idea that while ‘fashion may fade in and out of the marketplace, the quality found in Randolph Engineering products will never go out of style.' However, looking at the designs available, we don't see a reason why you can't have both. Randolph Engineering uses timeless designs, which compliment anyone's sense of style, while providing you with a product that can easily stand up to the stresses and strains of everyday life. To get your pair of Randolph Engineering sunglasses, visit Red Hot Sunglasses. We stock the classic Randolph Engineering Square Aviator sunglasses, which come in black, bright chrome, matt chrome and gold.

Persol Steve McQueen – Sunglasses for the King of Cool

Steve McQueen was born in 1930, inBeech Grove,Indiana. His father was a stunt pilot for a flying circus, so McQueen's experience of stunts and daredevil feats go all the way back to when he was just a small child. During his teenage years, McQueen had a troubled life, committing petty crimes and associating with gangs. He began to change his ways however, after being sent to join theCaliforniaJuniorBoysRepublic, a school for troubled youngsters. In 1947, he joined the US Marine Corps and, despite discipline problems when he first joined, he embraced the military and used it as an exercise in self-improvement.

In 1952, McQueen began studying acting at Sanford Meisner's Neighbourhood Playhouse, supporting himself by competing in motorcycle races at the Long Island Raceway. He eventually saved up enough money to buy his first motorcycle, a used Harley Davidson. His first role in a major production was in the 1955 film Somebody Up There Likes Me, in which he starred alongside Paul Newman. His first lead role was in 1958 film, and cult classic, The Blob. After appearing in major films such as Never So Few and The Magnificent Seven, he starred in the 1963 film The Great Escape, a role which made him a global icon.

He went on to star in many more classic films, The Sand Pebbles, Bullitt, The Towering Inferno and The Hunter, which was released after his untimely death in 1980. He famously turned down, or was unable to star in due to schedule conflicts, a number of films that went on to become classics in their own right. He allegedly turned down roles in films such as Ocean's Eleven, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Dirty Harry, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Apocalypse Now.

Despite dying over 30 years ago, McQueen's legacy still lives on today. His penchant for motor racing and performing his own stunts simply add to his legendary persona. He competed in numerous racing events and, if it wasn't for anxious sponsors, would have competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mansalongside Formula One star Jackie Stewart. He also performed his own stunts in the movie Bullitt. The car chase has since become known as one of the greatest ever made, and changed the way driving scenes were filmed.

One of McQueen's unmistakable fashion staples, were his Persol PO 714 sunglasses. He famously wore them during the 1968 Film The Thomas Crown Affair, and was seen wearing them countless times while away from the movie set. Diesel Sunglasses: What's Your Style?

Diesel is an Italian design company that is mostly known for its prêt-a-porter fashion. The clothing is aimed at the young adult market and its iconic staple is modern jeans. The clothing company was founded by Renzo Rosso in 1978 and in 1988 they head hunted Wilbert Das a fashion college graduate who bought inspiration and new innovative design to the brand. The company went from strength to strength, beginning a new international marketing strategy in 1991 and a flagship store opening in New York City in 1996. The marketing strategy was learnt from the US with bold adverts and inventive ideas and the creativity of the fashion was Italian inspired.

The revenue from the brand is mainly derived from denim sales, the jeans offer ‘the perfect fit' with the ability to be dressed up or down. They also have a very successful range of accessories that portray a contemporary style and a line of children's wear which also brings in a lot of custom.

Diesel's marketing strategy has been focus around young and creative individuals, they have sponsored several projects to back up this corporate strategy and have been successful in promoting their brand to their target audience. Diesel-U-Music Contest was one of the projects they sponsored as they were the founding partner of International Talent Support. They have offered sponsorship and creative contribution to a selection of charities one of them being the Life Ball AIDS charity.

A recent more controversial campaign was the ‘Be Stupid' advertising campaign
"To be stupid is to be brave. The stupid isnt afraid to fail. The stupid know there are worse things than failure… like not even trying.
Smart had one good idea, and that idea was stupid. You can't outsmart stupid. So don't even try. Remember only stupid can be truly brilliant." ( Source from Diesel )

This campaign was to reflect the lifestyle of today's generation and many took it as an offense, to me, it says, be yourself and don't be ashamed of that, you are not stupid, you are just you. I think that this is the idea the campaign is trying to get across and by wearing the clothing, you are being daring and making a statement and doing that with no regrets, after all Diesel's branding is ‘for successful living.'

Diesel sunglasses transmit this idea; they are modern, stylish and daring, if sunglasses could talk they would be outspoken, if they could act they would take risks. The eyewear is designed to fit in to a carefree, busy or active lifestyle and most importantly they need to be worn with pride and style because that is what the brand presents, not necessarily pride for the trade name but pride of being who you are. The exciting eye-candy is coming to Red Hot Sunglasses soon, so go and invest in your favourite design and show the world who you really are.

Calvin Klein: Simplicity Perfected

Calvin Klein was born in 1942, inNew York, into a Jewish-Hungarain immigrant family. He attended theHigh SchoolofArtand Design and went on to study atNew York's Fashion Institute of Technology, but he never graduated. He became an apprentice, at Dan Millstein, a cloak and suit manufacturer, in 1962.

In 1968 he opened a coat shop in the York Hotel inNew York City, with $2000 of his own money and a $10,000 loan. Allegedly, Klein found success when a Bonwit Teller (an upmarket department store) buyer ended up in the store by accident and liked the range so much, placed a $50,000 order. This led to Calvin Klein's first range of coats for men and women, being launched at Bonwit Teller'sNew Yorkstore.

From this moment on Calvin Klein became a famous name in the fashion world, and in 1969, Klein appeared on the front cover of Vogue magazine. During the 70s, the Calvin Klein range expanded to include sportswear, blazers, scarves, shoes, belts, the highly successful line of jeans and sunglasses. In 1977, annual revenue for Calvin Klein was $30 million and Klein's personal income reached $8.5 million for the year.

Klein became known as the "supreme master of minimalism", due to the clean lines that his clothing often featured. During the mid 80s, Calvin Klein's range of jeans was at its most popular, and the Calvin Klein name on the back pocket of each pair was credited with being the main reason for this.

After a lull in success in the late 80s and early 90s, Klein successfully turned the company round and was named "America's Best Designer" in 1993. In 2002, the company was sold to shirt maker Phillips Van Heusen Corp for a fee that equated to between $630 - $730 million, made up of cash, stock and royalties.

Many famous supermodels and celebrities have starred in advertisements for Calvin Klein over the years. Perhaps the most famous is Mark Wahlberg, the well-known Hollywood actor, who modelled underwear for Calvin Klein. Such was the popularity of the advertising campaign, the range became known as "Calvins". Other famous faces to feature in Calvin Klein advertisements include Kate Moss, who found fame for her work with CK, Scarlett Johansson, Eva Mendes, Diane Kruger and many more.

Calvin Klein's range of sunglasses was first released in the mid 70s and is a mainstay of the Calvin Klein brand today. The designs are at the cutting edge of fashion, with high craftsmanship and a nod to classic designs. They use the latest technology and are designed to be practical and functional, as well as superbly stylish.

A perfect example of Calvin Klein sunglasses that are at the height of fashion, yet will remain as a design classic for years to come, are the Classic Rectangular Frame Havana sunglasses, available from Red Hot Sunglasses. These sunglasses come in crystal brown, grey horn and brown horn, and would make a perfect addition to any summer outfit.

Why Buying Prescriptions Sunglasses Is Such A Good Idea

When choosing sunglasses, most people rarely look beyond the purpose of keeping the sun out of the eyes while at the same time looking stylish. In fact, it is a generally accepted truth that most individuals worry about whether their new pair of shades make them look cool, and not whether the pair actually benefits their sight or not.

However, the simple fact is that all pairs that are designed to protect sight can also provide visual enhancement. After all, all glasses are ultimately designed to help the wearer see well. This is why it is not difficult to get designer prescription sunglasses, providing not just an abundance of style but also a solution to the practical needs of the wearer.

Practically every major brand name in the ocular industry provides prescription options in their range of shades. For instance, ray ban prescription sunglasses come in a wide variety of styles, from the iconic Jackie O to the more classic looking Caravan style.

There is no getting away from the fact that since their rise to prominence in the 1950s, these types of glasses have been more than a practical tool to help against the glare of strong sunlight, and ease the pressure caused by squinting. They are, without doubt, one of the essential style accessories of the past six decades, projecting an image from just plain cool to calm sophistication. While eye glasses may be stylish in their own right, they are recognised as necessary tools.

Shades, on the other hand, are principally seen as image builders, but there are real reasons why the practical needs of the wearer should also come into play when choosing a pair.

The primary reason for buying shades in the first place is to protect the eyes from the effects of sunlight, therefore proving that, despite the prominent position that style has, they actually have a very practical use. Sunlight can come directly from the sun rays or can be reflected from the sand on a beach, water on the shore, or even the bright colours of buildings, particularly if they are whitewashed buildings.

The list of possible sources of a blinding glare off some reflective surface is almost endless, and it depends greatly on where one is. However, the tinted lenses of shades, whether black, grey, green or brown, defuse the light and ensure only a small amount of light actually comes into contact with the eyes.

Of course, this means there a definite added comfort factor when one does not have to squint to deal with the strong sunlight. However, sunlight carries dangerous UV rays, which can contribute to the development of cataracts on the eye, and even eye cancer. Protection, therefore, is a must.

Prescription lenses are not necessary to protect the eyes, so the question over why they are needed at all may still linger. The fact is that the combination of protection and sight enhancement is the most practical solution for glasses wearers. There is no reason why they cannot be put together and by doing so, the wearer does not have to go to the bother of changing glasses when needed to read something or needing to drive, for example.

In the past, it was possible to buy shades that flipped up over the usual prescription glasses, aptly referred to flip up shades. However, this looked awkward and the fixture could sometimes break. A far more convenient solution was to make the shades themselves prescription, making it possible to never have to remove a pair of designer shades when lounging by the pool and reading a newspaper or book.

For everyone who wears sunglasses, there is a tendency to treat their pair as the style accessories they have come to be, but there is no getting away from the fact that they also serve very practical purposes too. It is fine to be seen about town wearing a pair of ray ban aviators, but the look is ruined somewhat when one has to change to regular prescription glasses just to read a cafe menu.

Buying ray ban prescription sunglasses, such as the Jackie Onassis inspired Jackie Ooh design, or the gold rimmed brown tinted Caravan style, removes the need to change to reading glasses.

Choosing to buy designer prescription sunglasses, therefore, ensures that the practical need to wear glasses is satisfied but the image is retained.

Select Cheap and Also Reliable Sunglasses

I note a phenomenon that a majority of people regard cheap eye wears to be the equivalent of inferior eye wears which are not reliable at all. But what I want to clarify in this article is that cheap sunglasses are as stylish and competent as many expensive ones. You may wonder what makes I say this. To answer your question, please read this article carefully and during the process, you will get what you want to know.

In fact, designer sunglasses are not only sold in boutiques but also online. What's more, offerings in stores online are considerably cheaper than that in retail shops. Several years ago, when we were keen on a designer brand, we had to wander around specialty stores and most often, we common people were always lingering for a long time in retail stores. Why so? The whopping price kept us out of them one time and again. Nevertheless, now we have more chances to obtain more options. And shopping online is one of the new chances.

Surely, purchasing online also requires us to select very carefully. Otherwise, the cheap sunglasses would really be inferior sunglasses. Then what should we consider in order to get cheap, chic and also durable sunglasses?

To be simple, the first point you ought to consider is the quality. When you meet you beloved cheap sunglasses, you had better check its quality and make sure its quality does not compromise with the low price. Good performance counts most for a pair of sunglasses. It should be pretty contributive in resisting the harmful rays from the sun.

The second point you ought to pay attention to is the color of the lenses. Choose a color that you favor and also you can see clearly through it. As to the shape of the frame, I advise you to opt for sunglasses in a shape that is opposite to that of your face.

After the whole job is completed, one thing you must not forget is to make sure the pair you select is really cheaper than the one in a retail store. Otherwise, your online purchase would be of no value.

Then wear your shades and show it in the sun. As long as you check and select carefully online, I promise you will be satisfied.

Cheap Sunglasses Will Not Fail You

As times passes, human's pursuit of fashion never changes. This is our nature and would be very unlikely to change. In each season, we can find something unique to accessorize us and give us chic looks. Now that it is hot summer now, there must be a number of items which will be contributive to fashion look building. The first one comes to my mind is sunglasses.

Sunglasses, in human's fashion history, have gone through a long way. With a splendid developing course, sunglasses have found a place in the huge fashion world. And the fashion trend it leads has extended from summer to every season. Yet overall speaking, sunglasses are worn in the burning summer sun. In the modern market, sunglasses have been classified into many different groups which include cheap common sunglasses and luxury designer sunglasses; shades and eyeglasses in other tones.

Needless to say, expensive designer sunglasses will work well both in flattering your face and protecting your eyes. Since that sunglasses are mainly worn for the purpose of guarding eyes from harmful rays of the sun, real designer sunglasses are out of question competent in UV protection. On the other hand, their stylish designs will give wearers chic looks.

By contrast, cheap common sunglasses are considered by people as inferior items. In fact, as far as I am concerned, cheap sunglasses are not as plain as we have imagined. Some cheap shades for sale are relatively helpful for our eyes. Unfortunately, a majority of people think that discounted sunglasses can hardly support a two-week use. Surely, sunglasses are one of the daily-used items that need to be taken good care of. Whether it is designer or common, you had better give much care to it. Cheap sunglasses in particular shall be maintained properly.

Cheap eyeglasses, I promise, would be very beneficial for us. They can perform as well as designer ones. More importantly, they are sold at wholesale prices so that you don't have to spend too much on them. You can just wander around a shopping mall and do a brief research, then you will get a new impression of the cheap common sunglasses.

Cheap Sunglasses Purchased Online

Now it is hot summer, the right time to have a trip with families or friends. However, before you step out of your house, you need to make a good preparation, especially the sun care items. The first sun care article I think of is eyeglasses as they can protect your eyes from the scorching sun and enable your eyes to open in the sun. Most people prefer to choose good-quality sunglasses, while they are really expensive. Actually, online stores are considered to be the best place to purchase cheap sunglasses.

Variety

Sunglasses stores online have a wide range of offerings available to you. Sunglasses manufacturers now are good at eyeglasses designing. They excel in color scheme so that sunglasses showed online are really diverse in tones. In addition to the conventional black shades, eye wears in other colors are also common to see. In recent years, the dark brown lenses have come into fashion. According to my personal research, I note that this color is the most protective one which can effectively resist the harmful rays of the sun and also give ultimate comfort to your eyes. Besides this, you can choose your favorite pair from other options which will definitely content you. Lately, sunglasses always make us stunned. Designers begin to put much thought on the shape and color of frames. Some of the new offerings are really eye-catching due to their distinctive frame shapes.

Price

Although sunglasses online are usually cheaper than that offline, you had better do a brief research on the eyeglass market in advance. This will help you make right decision in purchasing eyeglasses. Sometimes the pair online seems to be cheaper while it may charge you a high shipping fee. At last, the total cost is not cheaper yet much higher than it should be.

Advantages

Shopping online is with no doubt a beneficial way of choosing good and cheap sunglasses. For one thing, it enables you to purchase goods at your home and don't have to go around the shopping mall. Suggestions on How to Buy Cheap Eyeglasses

Sunglasses are in a huge demand in hot summer as they are good protectors for our skin and eyes. Sunglasses, just like many other voguish articles, are classified into two groups, branded sunglasses and non-branded sunglasses. Branded sunglasses also can be called as designer eye wears which are quite expensive. As to the non-branded sunglasses, all kinds of opinions have been held by buyers. They are quite controversial in the fashion field.

Despite this phenomenon, I still contend that cheap sunglasses are beneficial for us. As long as you choose it in a proper manner, you will be wonderfully satisfied. In the following paragraphs, you can get several pieces of suggestions on cheap sunglasses choosing.

First and foremost, while choosing cheap sunglasses, you ought to be quite cautious and careful. Try to go to reputed stores rather than those newly-founded shops. Many people just do their purchase in the opposite manner and in the end, most of them regret a lot. If you go to the online shops, you had better adhere to the same rule.

Second, check the style and design carefully. Occasionally, when you are selecting cheap designer sunglasses, you tend to be too feverish to check the style and design carefully. The two elements are considerably important for the suppliers. Only if the sunglasses are designed wonderfully can they accommodate your needs and worth purchasing.

The third thing you cannot forget to check is the lenses. Try it on and to see if you feel good and comfortable. Some shades may make your feel dizzy. Under such a condition, you must be cautious and try another pair in a different color.

In addition, stay away from any inferior frames. Some sunglasses might be made of bad materials which are easy to fade or even damage your skin. Therefore, try to select sunglasses made of high-quality material which would keep their looks and function for a long term.

The last thing you shall consider must be the price. Before you purchase your sunglasses, decide on your budget. Follow a way which can save your money a lot. In the mean time, shop around till you have a general knowledge of the market of eyeglasses and can hardly be cheated by imposters.

Nike – High Fashion with a Sporting Twist

Nike has long been at the cutting edge of sporting technology and innovation. It could also be easily argued that the brand is at the height of fashion and have, on many occasions, blended fashion and sporting excellence seamlessly together.

Nike was formed in 1964 by Bill Bowerman and Philip Knight as Blue Ribbon Sports, a distributor of sports shoes. In 1971 the company produced its own line of sports shoes and in doing so the famous ‘swoosh' logo was born. The ‘swoosh', which resembles a tick, would go on to be the core of Nike's design over the next four decades. In 1978 the company had a complete rebrand and officially changed its name to Nike, after the Greek goddess of victory.

In the late 1990s the company first developed its own range of sunglasses. The entire range has a motto that reads "Fashionable function, Functional fashion" and the company holds an ethos of creating high quality sunglasses with cutting edge technology. Many of the sunglasses have been made specifically for certain sports, but always have a design flair that means you look good no matter where you are. They always include the famous ‘swoosh' tick, which makes the sunglasses instantly recognisable as part of the Nike brand.

The Nike Brand has sponsored countless sports stars from all manner of sports. This list includes basketball legend Michael Jordan, world famous golfer Tiger Woods, tennis players Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova, footballers Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney and many, many more. Many of these stars have often been seen wearing a pair of Nike sunglasses, which add the finishing touch to an athletic yet fashionable outfit.

The sunglasses are made in Italy and use the best materials to make the glasses both durable and lightweight. Nike sunglasses allow the wearer to stay at the high-end of sunglasses fashion, with designs that often differ from the typical look, in favour of a more individual approach that reflects the success and forward thinking nature of the brand. For example the Ignition Sports Wrap sunglasses, which are suitable for most non-contact sports, have rubberised temples for stability and a ventilated nose grip to prevent fogging. However, the bold design, available in black or white, means they would look good with any outfit. Nike sunglasses allow the wearer to have a practical and comfortable pair of sunglasses, while still ensuring they stay at the forefront of fashion.

Fit a Fashion Brand to your Lifestyle with Polo Ralph Lauren

"Personal style is about a sense of yourself, a sense of what you believe in and wearing what you like. "

- Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren, otherwise known as Ralph Lifshitz was born in the Bronx in New York. He was Jewish origin and attended a Jewish day school until he graduated to a mainstream high school. Here it was clear that Ralph had high aspirations for the future as he sold ties to his peers and wrote underneath his photo in the yearbook that he wanted to be a millionaire.

Ralph went on to study business at college but dropped out to join the US army for two years. Later he married Ricky Anne Low-Beer, a receptionist in New York. Ralph never attended fashion school. He worked for a while as a sales man for Brookes Brothers, and then with the financial backing of Norman Hilton, he opened a small necktie store where he also sold his range of ties under the name ‘Polo'. He later bought this name from Hilton to be his own.  In 1970 he launched a men's clothing range, and shortly after came the first women's collection which took the tailored idea of men's clothing, but made it slightly more feminine and delicate. The polo emblem became the iconic image of the brand and was first featured on the cuff of the tailored women's suit range. Shortly after the polo mesh shirt was released showcasing the logo on the front and was made in 25 different colours, which is now the Ralph Lauren classic.

By 2007 Ralph Lauren had 35 boutiques in total in the United States. As of 2011 Ralph Lauren is worth an estimated $5.8 billion dollars; he clearly underestimated his anticipated millionaire's status when he left school! Ralph always made sure that the quality of his clothing is impeccable and that the brand maintained the status of a high end luxury item. The fine materials and sturdy polo shirts combine heritage, performance and style offering something for every lifestyle choice.

Ralph Lauren has redefined American Style with his exquisite and exclusive range. He caters for men, women, children and the home. His ranges also embodies the idea that fashion does not just stop at parties and on the runway with the introduction of the sporting range, he showed that you can be stylish no matter what you do with your day. Ralph's range of sunglasses also represents the elegance and class of the American women and the style being influenced by their lifestyle. Some of the protective eyewear holds the famous logo of the polo player which symbolises the iconic brand and makes them stand out from any other collection of sunglasses. The rich and lavish lifestyle that is seen in the Ralph Lauren collections often comes out in the sunglasses range as they make you feel individual and significant. The exclusive designer shades offer a high end label but are still good value compared to other designers today.
